Major Breakthrough: Professor Li Xunhua Approved for Major Research Project on Philosophy and Social Sciences by the Ministry of Education

On April 15, 2024, Professor Liu Xunhua led the application for a research project entitled "Study on the National Ocean Strategy Education System," which was approved for funding, marking a breakthrough in Ningbo University's zero record of major research projects funded by the Ministry of Education. The project is based on the "great changes unseen in a century of the world" and the "overall strategic layout of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation," focusing on the "connotation, logic, practice, and promotion system of the national ocean strategy education system." Through a study of the ocean education policies and practices of the United Nations and major maritime countries, the project will conduct systematic research from the perspective of Chinese maritime civilization, based on the idea of a community with a shared future in the ocean, with a problem-oriented approach to studying the three major areas of school ocean education, social ocean education, and ocean safety education, as well as the five specialized areas of professional ocean education, science and technology ocean education, industrial ocean education, ocean culture education, and ocean literacy education. The project aims to promote the paradigm shift of ocean education research, build China's standards and promotion strategies for ocean education, and carry out a comprehensive construction of the strategic layout, conceptual system, institutional mechanism, top-level design, content and methodology, expression model, practical promotion, and guarantee system of the national ocean strategy education system with a "China-centric and global vision."

On June 15, 2024, the Academic Seminar on Marine Education and innovative talent Training and the opening report of the major project of Philosophy and Social science research of the Ministry of Education "National Marine Strategy Education System Research" was held in Ningbo. The Seminar on China's Independent Knowledge System of Marine Pedagogy was held in Ningbo -- the launch of the new journal of Marine Education Research and the discussion on the new textbook of Marine Pedagogy

On November 14, 2024, the Forum on Emerging Interdisciplinary Construction under the background of maritime Power and the Seminar on China's Independent Knowledge System of Marine Education were successfully held in Ningbo University. This is an important academic discussion in the field of Marine education and research to implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and "strengthen the construction of basic disciplines, emerging disciplines and interdisciplinary disciplines". With the theme of building China's independent knowledge system for MARINE EDUCATION and serving the construction of a powerful education country, this conference will launch a new journal of MARINE EDUCATION STUDIES (Marine Education Research) and discuss new textbooks of Marine Education. The 2024 academic Annual meeting of Regional Education Professional Committee of China Education Development Strategy Society was held

 

From December 16 to 17, the 2024 Academic Annual meeting of the Regional Education Professional Committee of the China Education Development Strategy Society and the "Learning and Implementing the Spirit of the National Education Conference to Promote the High-quality Development of Regional Education Forum" were successfully held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. The keynote report session of the conference was presided over by Lian Baojun. Huang Haomiao, Director of the Macro Policy Division of the Policy and Regulation Department of the Ministry of Education, and Zhou Hongyu respectively made keynote reports entitled "In-depth Learning and Implementing the Spirit of the National Education Conference to Accelerate the Construction of a powerful Education Country" and "Comprehensively Promoting the Integrated reform of the system and mechanism of educational science and technology talents". On the afternoon of December 16, the annual meeting entered the parallel forum session, and three theme forums were held at the same time. The theme of "Parallel Forum 1" is "Deepening the comprehensive Reform of Education and Improving the level of regional public education services". The theme of "Parallel Forum 2" is "Promoting discipline Education through integration". On December 20, the academic symposium "From Inheritance to Renewal: the 160th Anniversary of Dengzhou Cultural Hall" was held at the central campus of Shandong University. The keynote speech was presided over by Fu Youde, Professor of Shandong University and director of the Center for Judaism and Interfaith Studies of Shandong University, a key research base of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education. The 2024 Annual Academic Conference of the Education Branch of the Chinese Education Society and the Seminar on the Construction of Independent Knowledge System of Chinese Education under the background of Building an Education Powerhouse was held in Shaanxi Normal University

November 2-3, 2024, hosted by the Education Branch of the Chinese Society of Education, The "2024 Annual Academic Conference of the Education Branch of the Chinese Education Society and the Seminar on the Construction of Independent Knowledge System of Chinese Pedagogy under the background of Building a powerful Education Country", organized by the Faculty of Education of Shaanxi Normal University and Shaanxi Teacher Development Research Institute (Shaanxi Normal University Teacher Development College), was held in Yanta Campus of Shaanxi Normal University. On the morning of November 2, the first keynote report was chaired by Professor Xu Jicun from the Faculty of Education of Shandong Normal University, and the second keynote report was chaired by Professor Hu Jinmu from the Faculty of Education. On the afternoon of November 2, the first keynote report was presided over by Zeng Qingwei, a researcher from Shandong Academy of Education Sciences. The report was followed by two round table talks. On the morning of the 3rd, the keynote report of the conference was held as scheduled. Professor Li Guirong from the Faculty of Education of Henan University presided over the first half of the report, and Professor Liu Xunhua from the Faculty of Teacher Education of Ningbo University presided over the second half of the report.
